Nitroline Bright Ochre Filter (50ml)
A vibrant yellow tone to subtly lighten the color, blend a camouflage and unify color modulation on German dark yellow and other vehicles with similar finishes.

A Filter is a thin transparent layer of paint applied over a surface to alter the tone of a base coat. Filters need to be brushed onto the model using a paintbrush dampened with the effect. After dipping your paint brush into the bottle first wipe the excess Filter away onto a piece of paper or dinner napkin prior to brushing it onto the model.

NITROLINE PRODUCTS are enamel based products for quickly and easily applying various weathering effects onto all types of models and dioramas. NitroLine products can be used straight from the bottle or thinned using enamel thinner. Works best over acrylic finishes. Thoroughly mix and shake the bottle prior to use for best results.

Recently purchased a number of Wilder filter jars and have found them to be quite good. I tried the bright ochre filter on an old Dragon Stug IV I was restoring which I painted using AK Interactive acrylics. I've tried a number of filters from other manufacturers, even made my own using oil paints and white spirits, but these new filters from Wilder have proven to be the best for me. Needless to say you need to stir and shake well and there is the inevitable solid residues from long storage, transportation, etc but when ready to use the perform magnificently. A couple of tips though; ensure that you use acrylics as the base, or if using enamels coat the base with a matt acrylic varnish. On that point, make sure the surface is matt or dulled down otherwise the filter works more like a wash working its way into the recesses. Finally, be sure to use a wide flat brush and unload excess paint before applying on the models surface. I'm quite impressed with these new filters and would highly recommend them as they coat well, dry dead flat and represent excellent value when compared to filters produced by other manufacturers.
