Hypersonic Models 48070-3 1/48 F-104 Starfighter Lockheed C-2 Ejection Seat (JASDF) for Kinetic Kit

This is a C-2 ejection seat for the F-104 Starfighter, designed primarily for Kinetic kits. It can also be fitted to Hasegawa cockpits, as the overall size and geometry are compatible. However, the Hasegawa side consoles are considerably lower than Kinetic's, so the top of the seat bucket will sit relatively high.

The highly detailed seat includes:
- Ejection rails
- Canopy de-mister tubing with canopy latch
- New aft canopy "V" brace

The seats feature variations in harness configuration, belt lock, emergency pack, drogue housing, and other details. Each version has a unique arrangement of harnesses and hoses.

Based on a 3D scan of a real 1:1 seat, the set covers several variants of this widely used ejection seat. Four types are available depending on operator and timeframe:
- Standard original USAF version, also used by RCAF and other early export operators, until approximately 1968/1969
- NATO European export version, including Luftwaffe, KLu and other operators
- JASDF version
- Upgraded later S/R-2 version, used from late 1968 by the USAF and export operators
