Departing from traditional "armour versus firepower" attrition, it centres on high informatisation, intelligentisation, and stealth design, marking a major leap in the Chinese Army's networked warfare capabilities.
The ZTZ-100 features a compact, low-radar/infrared signature hull, an unmanned turret, and a hybrid propulsion system that ensures exceptional low-noise and stealthy approach capabilities. Its primary armament is a high-precision 105mm main gun, supplemented by a remote weapon station linked to the crew's helmet-mounted sight. For protection, it integrates active protection systems and electro-optical countermeasures to effectively intercept anti-tank guided missiles and drone attacks.
Leveraging high-performance sensors, visual-enhancement helmets, onboard data links, and the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, the ZTZ-100 achieves 360-degree situational awareness. Operating as a networked strike node, it coordinates with unmanned platforms and leads new trends in global main battle tank development.
