This is the 13th "Theme Collections" title in our new series that draws upon previously published articles in our Scale Model Handbook Special Editions Collection books where the content is dedicated to a specific category or period. In this latest edition we've gathered together eighteen themes on World War One, also known as The Great War, which has a popular following amongst the miniature figure modelling fraternity. That is a substantial amount of visual content! With 205 step-by-step photos and a total of 340 images, you have enough material for a comprehensive, high-quality project. Future titles in this new series will offer carefully chosen articles, grouped together into specific themes.
Our books are produced using a high-quality digital printing process giving excellent quality illustrations, using 300g matt laminated velvet paper for the covers, with 150g velvet paper inside all perfect bound with a special glue!

Although more than 100 years have passed since the beginning of The First World War and 70 years since the Second World War, these worldwide 20th century conflicts affected the history of millions of people from different countries in many ways, the effects of which are still felt today. Although the cost in human lives and resources was immense, this era also created a feeling of romanticism and has been the platform for many heroics, as well as unspeakable criminal acts.
However, for many reasons that only psychology can explain, this era is perhaps amongst the most popular themes for modellers. It wouldn't be too much to say that this might be the most popular and best-selling period in the modelling business, as many modellers choose it for their projects.
It was inevitable that we would feature this particular chapter of military history, offering the modeller the "best from the best" in this field.
