Fujimi NX-8 EX-201 1/700 IJN Aircraft Carrier Shinano Special Edition (with Photo-Etched Parts)
The Shinano was the third Yamato-class battleship, but was later converted into an aircraft carrier. It was completed in November 1944, and sunk in the same month by a torpedo attack from a submarine.
The product is designed with a snap-fit system that does not require adhesive.
The main parts are made of color-coded plastic parts, and some colored parts are reproduced with realistic stickers that have excellent surface conformity.
The flight deck is made up of two pieces, divided into the concrete deck and the outer edge, making it convenient for painting. The color tone of the flight deck is a dark gray with a slight bluish tint.
The bottom parts of the ship reproduce the bulge shape that is different from Yamato.
The rudders are the same square rudders as the traditional Yamato, and the square type equipped on Taiho and other ships, which are compatible with the new shape.
The aircraft included are the "Ohka" that was said to have been loaded at the time, the "Shiden Kai" that performed the test landing, and the "Ryusei Kai" and "Saiun" that were planned to be loaded.
The included stickers include the anti-submarine camouflage parts on both sides and the white lines on the flight deck, allowing you to express the colors without painting.
A white line decal for the flight deck is also included for users who prefer to paint.
The retractable antenna support is a movable structure.
Bonus parts include "horizontal binoculars" and "machine gun ammunition box".
Etching parts are included that can express details that are difficult to reproduce with injection parts.
Etching parts include handrails, ladders, ladders, No. 13 radar, windbreak fences, elevators, cranes, chimney caps, airplane propellers, etc.
