Metallic Details MDR14467 1/144 Nakajima Ki-27b Fighter Aircraft
The kit consists of highly detailed, high-quality 3D printed resin parts, photo-etched parts, and decals to decorate your model. All components are produced using modern manufacturing technologies to ensure accurate geometry, fine surface detail, and realistic scale appearance.
The Nakajima Ki-27, known to the Allies by the reporting name "Nate," was a Japanese single-seat fighter developed in the 1930s for the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force. It became the first monoplane fighter to enter large-scale service with the Japanese Army and represented an important step in the development of Japanese fighter aviation.
The Ki-27b was a major production variant, powered by a Nakajima Ha-1 radial engine and armed with two synchronized 7.7 mm Type 89 machine guns. The aircraft was characterized by its lightweight construction, fixed landing gear, and exceptional maneuverability.
Ki-27 fighters saw extensive combat during the Second Sino-Japanese War, the Battles of Khalkhin Gol against Soviet forces in 1939, and the early stages of the Pacific War. Although increasingly outclassed by newer Allied fighters, the Ki-27 continued to serve in training and secondary roles later in the war.
The Nakajima Ki-27 was produced from 1937 to 1942 and was also operated by several other air forces in Asia.
