Developed from original drawings, period photographs, and technical references, the set recreates the Merlin installation together with the surrounding airframe structure and equipment - including bulkheads, spars, inner girders, engine mounting structure, landing gear bay details, tanks, equipment, hand-crank mechanism with BTH AS3 magneto, extensive pipework, and cowling support structure.

Particular attention has been paid to structural profiles, brackets, joints, fasteners, and other details visible on the original aircraft.
