1/32 Hawker Hurricane Mk.IA / Mk.IIA part 2 - Italian Air Force service no. 200-D32028
The decal sheet contain 3 markings:
- Hawker Hurricane Mk.IA, no. unknown, aircraft captured 16th April 1941 and transferred to Regia Aeronautica, Rome-Ciampino airfield and presendted to Italian leader Benito Mussolini.
Hawker Hurricane Mark I fighter of AF of the Royal Yugoslavian Army captured by Italians at the Mostar Airfield, 16. April 1941 after only 11 day's of war against the attack of Germany and Italy. This knowed Italian Hurricane's phote was taken at Italian Flight test center on guidonia Airport. On 29.September 1941 this captured Hurricane was exhibited to Duce Benito Mussolini on Rome's Ciampino Airport.
- Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIA, Z2491, HA-D, 126. Squadron, aircraft seized after emergency landing, pilot by Bill Greenhalgh, Como airfield 1941.
- Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIA, V7716, TP-U of Flight Lieutenant George Ball DFC, 73. Squadron, which was forced down in a sandstorm on the 11. April 1941.
If necessary, the decal cover varnish can be removed - wash off with Zippo lighter fluid.
