(Type: model figures) This is a plastic snap fit model kit, which comes unassembled and unpainted. So model paints and other basic modelling tools are additionally required. This "snap fit" model can be assembled without glue.

This kit includes five plastic models of Soviet World War II soldiers with airplane maintenance equipment. Assembled soldiers are 24mm scale.

Airplanes were one of the decisive technologies of World War II, able to deliver devastating attacks far behind enemy lines. The battle for control of the air was just as important as control of critical roads, railways, and resources. But aircraft are very complex machines, and they require an enormous amount of effort to keep them flying. For this reason, every nation in the war committed large numbers of specialists and engineers to the task of repairing, reloading, refuelling, and maintaining aircraft when they were on the ground.

During the early years of the war, the Soviet air force or Voyenn-Vozdushnye Sily suffered from a severe lack of experienced ground crew personnel. This was a significant reason for the early difficulties they faced against the more experienced German invaders. As the war dragged on, the men and women who manned the airfields of the Soviet Union overcame their early troubles, and became a crucial part of the Soviet Union's eventual victory.
