Our R Model's track sets are distinct for exclusively using brass pins, setting them apart from the more commonly supplied stainless steel pin versions by other retailers. This choice enhances both the appearance and functionality in several key ways:

- Precision and Detail: Brass pins come with more details due to its malleability compared to stainless steel. This means that these track links feature more intricate designs, contributing to the overall realism of your models.
- Natural Weathering: Brass pins are predisposed to oxidise over time, a property that stainless steel pins lack. This oxidation process enables modellers to achieve a range of weathered looks easily, adding to the authenticity of the model's appearance without requiring additional treatments.
- Enhanced Aesthetics: The natural aging process of brass lends a realistic, time-worn look to the tracks, enhancing the visual depth and historical accuracy of your models.
- Durability with Authenticity: While both materials are durable, brass pins offer a unique combination of structural integrity and the ability to age naturally, balancing longevity with aesthetic appeal.

Since Fruilmodel is no more, there is a void left. R-Model has filled that void with a nice selection of metal tracks. The tracks for this review were well stamped, nicely detailed and feature brass pins to connect the links. They are also the only metal split link KV tracks to actually be split link. But there is an issue. I checked some other sources, and came across a review from Terry Ashley at PMMS. His review for Spade Ace 35024 could be mistaken for the R-model tracks. Its my presumption, given that Spade Ace catalog numbers are the same as R-Model, that they are in fact the same company. Terrys review shows the tracks fitted to the Trumpeter KV-1S drive sprocket, with no issues. I however could not fit my tracks to neither the Tamiya nor Trumpeter KV drive sprocket. I had some leftover Fruilmodel KV split links, and when I compared them to the R-Model, I found that the R-Model tracks feature a smaller opening for the drive sprocket teeth. Also, when you place 10 links from each side by side, the Fruilmodel is approximately 1 mm longer. Since I could'nt wrap the R-Model tracks around the drive sprocket, I decided to add some Fruilmodel links to the R-Models. They will fit to each other nicely. So now I have 10 links per side from Fruil to go over the sprocket. Problem solved. I've used other R-Model products before with no issues, so I'm perplexed why there is a fit issue. That said, I would recommend the product, but with reservations. You might need to adjust or alter something to avoid the fit issue.

Since Fruilmodel is no more, R Model is the only real competition with Masterclub for metal tracks. Unfortunately, there is a definite issue with this set for the Tamiya IS and ISU-152. It dosent fit the drive sprocket. Its almost as if the drive sprocket needs to be slightly smaller for the tracks to wrap around. Detail is very nice. Assembly with the metal pins is no sweat. But that damn drive sprocket issue is gonna keep me up at night. Its a shame too, because their Type 97 tracks fit both the Tamiya Type 97, but also the Fine Molds kits and derivatives. However THESE tracks, are NOT to be recommended.
