In the international defence market, it is reported that Pakistan is in advanced negotiations with China to procure the Type 625E to bolster its air defence network.

Compared to the PLB625, the Type 625E expands its air defence missile payload from 4 to 8 missiles, significantly enhancing its firepower and capacity to counter saturation attacks.
