The M4 Sherman medium tank was undoubtedly the most widely used armored vehicle during World War II. The M4 formed the backbone of the American armored forces and was produced in numerous versions and variants. Towards the end of 1944, production began of the M4A3E8 version, nicknamed the "Easy Eight", which, thanks to design modifications, enhanced the Sherman's operational effectiveness. The long-barreled 76mm M1 high-velocity gun was now combined with a new HVSS suspension system with horizontal shock absorbers, ensuring better ground contact, significantly improved ride quality, and higher speed. It participated in the final stages of World War II and took an active part in the Korean War.
