1/72 M1A2 SEP
The M1 Abrams is a US third-generation main battle tank, and since its introduction in 1980 it has seen multiple improved variants enter service. The M1A1 saw the introduction of a 120mm main gun, while the M1A2 version with a commander's independent thermal sight appeared in 1992. Dragon's Armor Pro series is pleased to offer retooled 1/72 scale kits of the M1 Abrams family, and one of the new items depicts the M1A2 SEP. The acronym 'SEP' stands for System Enhancement Package, and it featured a second-generation gunner's thermal sight plus third-generation depleted uranium armor components.
This new kit is almost brand new, with only the running gear and lower hull being reused from previously released Abrams kits. Modelers thus receive an Abrams M1A2 SEP that is even more accurately detailed, with brand new elements such as a slide-molded turret, upper hull and one-piece 120mm gun barrel.
