AK Interactive RC857 Real Colours Lacquer Based Paint - Military #Grau-Grey RAL 7027 (17ml)

AK's high-quality lacquer-based varnish boasts a superior chemical formula compared to other brands on the market. It flows smoothly in an airbrush, adheres to the surface effectively, and dries perfectly with a soft matte finish. It securely holds all kinds of weathering products. For optimal results, it can be diluted with AK701/AK702 High Compatibility Thinner or other thinners specifically designed for lacquer-based paints.

Used for painting vehicles and other equipment of the German Army in the so-called second tropical scheme (Tropen 2) intended for use in Africa and Crete from March 1942 until February 1943. According to the army regulations RAL 7027 should cover 1/3 of vehicle's surface in form of irregular patches with soft edges, with the remainder being painted in RAL 8020.

Both the photographic and documentary evidence confirms that vehicles painted in tropical colours also found use on the Eastern Front.
