Black Ops 5041 1/35 Mermite Food Containers (4pcs) and Round Utility Cans (4pcs)

A highly detailed set of Mermite Tactical Military Coolers, faithfully reproduced in 1/35 scale. These insulated containers were introduced in the 1960s and saw widespread use through the 1990s by military forces for transporting hot or cold food-and even blood-across the battlefield.
Each Mermite container consisted of a rugged insulated outer shell with three internal inserts, designed to preserve temperature during transport. While variations were made from aluminium, stainless steel, and tinned steel, the most commonly seen type was the tinned steel version-many of which were dated from 1942 to 1944.
