The German Bundeswehr is currently undergoing the most extensive modernisation of its truck fleet since its establishment. This involves not only the introduction of modern logistics vehicles, but also their deployment as carrier vehicles for highly complex weapon systems. The replacement of older vehicle classes such as the KAT I and types such as the MB 1017 with modern series including the UTF, Trakker and Zetros marks significant progress in efficiency, safety, versatility and effectiveness.
