Peewit AL-LA-02 Fighters over the Adriatic - Austro-Hungarian Navy Fighter Aircraft Photo Reference Book
Size: A4 (210 x 297 mm)
Pages: 68
Photos: 97
Colour profiles: 12
Colour chips: 2
The subject of Austro-Hungarian naval fighter aircraft has not yet been covered independently in any specialised book. This new publication presents the first comprehensive overview of the development and operational use of the fighter aircraft (referred to at the time as defensive aircraft) of the Austro-Hungarian Naval Air Service.
The publication is written in Czech, but almost the entire text is also available in English (as well as in German or Italian upon request) in the form of an inserted booklet of smaller format.
The introductory chapter clearly explains the origins, development, and operational use of these aircraft. The main part of the publication consists of an extensive photo album covering all aircraft types used in this role, accompanied by detailed captions. The large reproduction format allows details to stand out that often remain unnoticed in ordinary publications. Some photographs are reproduced across two pages, while others are supplemented with enlarged details.
The photographs originate from private collections across several countries and are reproduced in the highest possible quality. Most of the aircraft shown are also accompanied by a colour side-view illustration depicting the typical colour scheme of the aircraft.
The book also contains extensive tables listing all Austro-Hungarian naval fighter aircraft, summaries of aircraft losses, and - for the first time ever published - a complete list of victories achieved by Austro-Hungarian naval aviators.
