Aoshima 20404 1/700 Full Hull IJN Battleship Mutsu (1942) with Metal Barrel
1/700 FULLHULL MODELS
Outfitting parts have been newly researched and redesigned. With extensive use of slide molds, this series faithfully reproduces the intricate detail of 1/700 scale ships. Discover the enhanced precision of the renewed 1/700 scale warship (full-hull model) series.
Equipped with powerful 41 cm guns, Mutsu, the second ship of the Nagato-class battleships, was counted among the world's strongest warships known as the ''Big Seven.'' For many years she stood as one of the representative battleships of the Imperial Japanese Navy, but during the Pacific War she never engaged enemy vessels directly in gunfire and was sunk in 1943 due to an explosion accident at Hashirajima anchorage in Hiroshima Bay.
This kit recreates the battleship Mutsu as a 1/700 scale plastic model. With a well-organized parts configuration, it is simple, easy to assemble, and accurately reproduced. Newly designed fittings have been added, including numerous twin machine guns, high-angle guns, and aircraft catapults. The precision and fine detailing of the 1/700 scale are effectively expressed.
