The 5th generation of Cedric 430 was launched in 1979 June replacing 330 by full model change. Later in 1981 April it had a minor change to become the late model. With the catchphrase for the late model "an advanced aesthetic, Cedric", it introduced an electronic control system which was revolutionary technology at that time.
