1/35 German Concrete Armoured StuG.III Ausf.G w/Zimmerit

This is a plastic model kit, which comes unassembled and unpainted. So glue, model paints and other basic modelling tools are additionally required.

One interesting field modification of the tank destroyer StuG.III Ausf.G, in an effort to improve protection levels against enemy anti-tank guns, was to add a layer of concrete over the front of the casemate. While this practice may have brought psychological comfort to German crewmen, its ballistic protection qualities were questionable. Dragon??s newest 1/35 scale StuG.III Smart Kit depicts an Ausf.G variant with such a layer of poured concrete armor.
