What is the Best Ruler

The Best Ruler is a multifunctional ruler developed by UHOLABO President Nakamura, a former technical high school teacher.

A single ruler provides a wide range of functions, allowing users to draw not only straight lines but also angles, perpendicular and parallel lines, circles, and perform measurements similar to a vernier caliper. The Best Ruler has attracted attention and has been featured on Japanese television programs.

While participating in events, feedback was received from parents of primary school children who wanted their children to use the ruler but were concerned that rough handling could cause it to break. In response, this 0.5mm version was developed using polycarbonate, which is resistant to breaking even when bent.

Some primary school students find geometry difficult because of the need to use tools such as protractors and compasses. This ruler makes it easier and more enjoyable to draw angles and circles, helping children engage with mathematics.

Features of the Best Ruler 0.5

To achieve the thinner design while reducing the risk of breakage, some template functions from the original version have been removed and a mark sheet template has been added instead.

The right side of the ruler has also been redesigned with a semicircular shape, providing space for a company logo or other branding.

Its slim design also allows it to be used as a bookmark in books, notebooks, or planners, making it suitable as a promotional or corporate novelty item.
