GSI Creos SMS1 Mirror Silver (18ml, solvent-based acrylic resin paint)

This is a silver paint that produces a mirror-like finish.
It is an advanced paint designed exclusively for airbrush use.

Product Features
When applied over a glossy surface, it creates a mirror-like silver finish. It will not produce a mirror effect if applied on a non-glossy surface.
For the base coat, Acrysion gloss colours (especially black) are recommended. Once dry, Acrysion forms a solvent-resistant film, making it less prone to erosion compared to other paints. This allows the Mirror Silver to adhere well while preserving the glossy surface.
(Note: This applies only to airbrush use. When brush-painted, the higher solvent content may erode the Acrysion layer.)

Compatibility
Highly compatible: Acrysion
Moderately compatible: Mr. Color / Mr. Color GX
Not compatible: Water-based Hobby Color (The gloss disappears quickly and the metallic look is lost.)

Allow the Acrysion base coat to dry for about one day before applying the Mirror Silver.
When applying, do not spray too much at once. Tighten the needle and mist on the paint in thin, light layers. (See demonstration video)
If you apply too much at once, the surface will turn whitish and the mirror effect will be significantly reduced.

After applying the Mirror Silver, let it dry completely for two days to one week. You can then coat it with gloss clear from either Water-based Hobby Color or Acrysion.
Both will cause slight clouding.
You can also apply clear colour paint to achieve a coloured chrome-like finish.

Thinning
No thinning required.

Cleaning
For cleaning tools, please use Mr. Tool Cleaner Kai.

Caution
This paint contains organic solvents. Ensure proper ventilation during and after use.
The colour codes shown in the sample (such as H-1) are approximate equivalents from the Water-based Hobby Color series.
If applied to ABS plastic parts, the paint may penetrate the resin, making the part brittle and prone to cracking.
Please carefully check the assembly manual and runner markings and avoid painting ABS resin parts.
