In the rapidly evolving aerial warfare of World War I, the Nieuport 17 provided a much needed boost to the Allies throughout much of 1916. The Nieuport 17 was a light and fast "sesquiplane" scout/fighter. Its manoeuvrability temporarily broke the technological advantage the Germans had in the air and allowed the Allies to claw back air superiority for a few crucial months. By 1917, the newest German fighters outclassed the Nieuport 17 but their pilots struggled on. Kit features decals for English, French, Italian, and German versions.
