Combining high velocity, high calibre, and high mobility in a single artillery piece is no easy feat, but German engineers pulled it off. Armour piercing rounds made it one of the most devastating anti-tank weapons of the war. An efficient crew could fire a round every three seconds, devastating targets downrange.
